The sale of ticket packages in St. Petersburg for the 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship has started.

Several packages can now be purchased online worldwide and in sales points in Russia:

• Venue Package for all 30 games that will take place in St. Petersburg, including two quarter-final games
• Group Package for all preliminary-round games in St. Petersburg
• Team Ticket for all seven preliminary-round games of one of the eight participating teams from the St. Petersburg group.

Seats in the sectors T1-T11 tribunes belong to the first category, seats in the second category in the sectors T3, T8 and T9 behind the goals cost less. The third category includes seats with limited visibility.

The prices for most packages were reduced in comparison with the original announcement. According to the discounts, the Venue Package, the Group Package and the Team Tickets USA and Belarus cost 10 per cent less, the Team Tickets for Hungary, Germany, France and Slovakia are 20 per cent cheaper. The group in St. Petersburg also includes Canada and Finland.

Currently only these multi-day packages are available for St. Petersburg. Single-game tickets will go on sale in April online, at the parter.ru sales points and also at the ticket office at the arena.

To prevent tickets to be sold on the black market, much attention is paid on the resale control. A maximum of six packages can be bought per client.
