Russian national team presented in Moscow

“Red Machine” starts new life

The new season of the Russian national team started on 30th October in the centre of Moscow.

Among the participants were the Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation, Vitali Mutko, the Russian Ice Hockey Federation’s head of the board, Arkadi Rotenberg, its President, Vladislav Tretiak, the First Vice President, Roman Rotenberg, national team head coach Oleg Znarok and players Ilya Kovalchuk and Nikita Zaitsev.

They presented the new visual image of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation.

“The new logo embodies the relationship between ice hockey and Russia,” said Roman Rotenberg. “The emblem is very modern, bright and memorable. The red machine visual image depicting eight stars symbolizing 8 Olympic Gold medals reminding us of historical victories. We will see the new symbols on the jersey the Russian hockey will use at the Karjala Cup.”
