The ticket sale will be organized in three stages beginning in November, December and April respectively. The first stage beginning on 6 November at 12:00 Moscow time includes multi-day ticket packages that will be sold for Moscow only. Later also packages for St. Petersburg and single-game tickets for both venues will be made available. The ticket prices start at €25 (1,875 Rubles).

“We expect excessive demand for tickets for this event,” says Alexander Polinski, the Executive Director of the 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Organizing Committee. “In Russia hockey isn’t just a sport. It is to a nationwide passion. As we saw from the experience of the last World Championship in the Czech Republic, we know that all ticket packages that included games of the hosts’ national team were reserved within the first five hours. For this reason tickets will be put on the market in three stages.”

The official ticket provider of the World Championship is CTS Eventim Ru (Parter.ru). Eventim is one of the leaders in the Russian ticketing market. Starting in November tickets can be purchased via:

As of April tickets will also be sold at ticket booths at the venues in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
